Future Formed is excited to offer two residents an all-expenses paid trip to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2024, the world's largest performing arts festival famous for comedy, theatre, circus - and everything in between. With thousands of shows set in diverse venues from grand stages to intimate basements, this festival promises an unforgettable experience.

Get ready to mingle with industry insiders and talented artists. Meet the Soho Theatre team and gain insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of the festival. This is your opportunity to witness first hand what it takes to put on a show at one of the world's most renowned arts festivals. Feeling unsure about navigating the festival landscape? Fear not! We'll provide you with mentoring, training, and support in the lead-up to the event. Our aim is to ensure you feel confident and ready to make the most of this incredible opportunity.

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival Experience includes:

  • Free tickets to see comedy and theatre shows in London throughout June/July.
  • FREE place on Soho Theatre’s Edinburgh Lab sessions.
  • 4 days (13th – 16th August) all-expenses-paid at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, including travel, accommodation, free show tickets and £50 per day to cover the cost of food and drink.
  • Feeding back to the Soho Theatre programming team and wider council cultural team about the hits, the misses and the shows that blew your mind.

To apply you must be aged between 18-30 years old and be living, studying or working in Waltham Forest.

We particularly encourage applications from people that are under-represented or experience barriers to accessing the creative sector. These include people from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled people, LGBTQI+ people, and those facing financial barriers. We will be prioritising those not in full time employment.

Applications are now open and the deadline for submissions is Sunday 14th April at 5pm.
